Liturgy
Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharist Ministers serve at the altar with the priest to distribute Communion and assist during the Mass. Those in this very special ministry are trained and licensed with the Diocese.
Training for Eucharistic Ministers is held monthly during the Season, and there is an Acolyte Festival annually at our Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
Altar Guild
Altar Guild members serve silently behind the scenes, setting up the altar for our liturgies, making sure the linens and vessels are clean and polished, preparing Communion kits for the Lay Eucharistic Visitors. They also decorate the church for holidays and special occasions.
Flower Guild
Our Flower Guild is an incredibly talented group of people who work in teams of 2 to purchase, arrange flowers for our sanctuary and for receptions and other celebrations in our parish hall. Easter and Christmas in our Nave is made glorious by their handiwork!
Choir
Our Good Shepherd Choir, under the direction of Chuck Bradley, rehearses each Thursday evening and provides music for our worship at the Sunday 10 AM liturgy. Singers are welcome to join at any time - for a month, for a season or for the full choir year from September through mid-June. No experience necessary – just a love for singing praises to the Lord!
Eucharistic Ministers & Readers
Readers read the Old and New Testament scriptures and Prayers of the People at each Mass.
Worship Prayer Team
Prayer team members are available on each side of our Sanctuary for those who would like private, personal intercessory prayer after they receive communion.
